Subscription Platform · United Kingdom
Custom subscription platform migrated off SaaS
Full custom Laravel stack with CCBill and Yoti. Owner controls IP end to end. First month post-launch saw 55% of paying subscribers cleanly migrated across.
Outcomes
Measured against the pre-engagement baseline. Specifics verifiable on a call under NDA.
The challenge
Where the operator started and what actually made it hard.
The operator had built a paying audience on a white-label subscription SaaS. The platform tax was 20% forever, creators could be removed without notice, and every compliance decision was made by someone else. Moving off meant building a real platform, not a clone, and doing it without losing the subscribers already paying.
The hard parts were the ones the SaaS had been hiding: merchant onboarding with an adult processor, HEAA-compliant age assurance that did not wreck the marketing pages in search, and a content pipeline that could take the existing library without a re-upload.
